Secondary School Discretionary Places (SSDP)

           Application Guidelines

 

Selection criteria and weightings:

1. Academic performance in primary school (including academic results, awards and Rank Order (provided by EDB)) (40%)
2. Interview performance (30%)
3. Extra-curricular activities and awards (20%)^
4. Conduct (10%)

 

^ Applicants with outstanding performance in extra-curricular activities may receive extra bonus points.

 

     1）Application form

         The ‘Application form for Secondary One Discretionary Place (2026-27)’ can be obtained:

         - from the school office during office hours;

         - by scanning the QR code at the top‑right corner of the Application Guidelines;

         - by downloading it from the school website http://www.lwfss.edu.hk .

 

 

     2）Application submission details

1. Application form

• Please submit the completed application form and relevant documents to our school office. Applicants are reminded to bring along their HKID card or the original birth certificate for identity verification.

 

         Application period:  2^nd January, 2026 (Friday) to 16^th January, 2026 (Friday)

         School hours:           Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 5:30 pm

                                            Saturday 8:00 am to 12:30 pm

 

2. Submission through the SSPA e-platform

• Applications can be submitted through the EDB SSPA e-platform starting from 2nd January, 2026 to 16th January, 2026. Relevant documents are required to be uploaded.

 

     3）Documents in relation to the application:

1. 1. The completed ‘Application form for Secondary One Discretionary Place (2026-27)’ of Lung Kong World Federation School Limited Lau Wong Fat Secondary School;

   2. the completed Application Form of EDB for Secondary One Discretionary Places (including School Copy, and EDB Copy);

   3. applicant’s HKID card copy;

   4. two self-addressed envelopes (each with the student’s name and address clearly written on it and a HK$2.2 stamp affixed);

   5. report cards: Primary 5 (Full academic year) and Primary 6 (First term); and

   6. copies of extra-curricular / co-curricular activities certificates

              Note: There is no need to submit the recommendation letter from your primary school.

 

 

     4）The number of discretionary places in our school is 40 (subject to change depending onEDB’s policy).

 

     5）Interview arrangement

• Interviews will be conducted on 7^th March, 2026 (Saturday).
• Each applicant will receive an interview notification letter from our school one or two weeks before the interview.
• The interview will be in the form of one-on-one conversations or group discussion.

     6）Parents of all successful applicants will be notified by phone and letter on 31st March, 2026 (Tuesday), and the SSDP results will be released on 7th July, 2026 (Tuesday).
